Programmmers (Shorts)

The Bay Area Media Makers Summit (BAMMS) is looking for two film Programmers help with the second annual short film program, hosted at the Roxie this Fall.

In an effort to demystify the Programming process, BAMMS is encouraging anyone interested in Programming to apply, specifically anyone with limited or no experience in film Programming, that is interested in learning more about the field. Over the course of September and October, the Programmers will be tasked with reviewing submissions, meeting as a team to decide the program, correspond with the filmmakers for materials, and come to the in person screening on October 23 (date to be confirmed shortly). Commitment and care for the Bay Area film community and being based in the Bay Area is a requirement.

This is an entry level position and BAMMS can offer a stipend of $200.

Tasks + Timeline:

  • Ability to watch upwards of 50 short films from September 5 - 26

  • Meet with BAMMS Programmers upwards of 5 times throughout the months of Sept/Oct

  • Meetings will be held remotely

  • Assist with asset collection

  • Be able to attend the in-person screening at the Roxie on October 23 (although not a requirement)
